Hey LA, you're invited to celebrate the grand opening of the K Line! Enjoy live performances by notable local artists, food from some of the best eateries along the K Line, giveaways, free rides on the K Line and throughout the Metro system, and more!
The K Line will open at noon on Friday, October 7, 2022, and rides on all Metro rail, bus, and bike share will be free all weekend long.
See seven stations, each with its own unique and original artwork!
Try out the new train, and hop off at Leimert Park Station to head over to Leimert Park Plaza for the K Line! Fest at from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday only to celebrate together,free and open to all!

K Line artists were commissioned through an open, competitive selection process following the recommendation of a panel of community-based arts professionals. In conjunction with each artwork, station artists also engaged in community through art activities with local residents and organizations in neighborhoods the K Line will serve.
